How Maini Group’s partnership with SiMa.ai will transform autonomous transport

Maini Group envisions expanding SiMa.ai’s AI capabilities across its other business units.

Maini Group has announced a strategic partnership with SiMa.ai to enhance its autonomous mobility solutions using edge artificial intelligence (AI). Through this collaboration, SiMa.ai’s ONE Platform for Edge AI will be integrated into Maini Group’s subsidiary, Virya Autonomous Technologies, which specialises in autonomous mobile robots (AMRs) for industrial applications.

The partnership aims to deliver improved performance with lower power consumption and reduced total cost of ownership, making autonomous systems more accessible across multiple industries. The integration of SiMa.ai’s software-centric platform is expected to boost Virya’s mobility systems by improving scalability, adaptability, and system efficiency in real-time applications.

Sandeep Maini, Chairman of Maini Group, emphasised the alignment between SiMa.ai’s AI leadership and Maini Group’s expertise in autonomous technologies. He highlighted that the collaboration aims to drive innovation and efficiency in AI-powered transport solutions across the group’s offerings. Harald Kroeger, President of Automotive Business at SiMa.ai, stated that the ONE Platform will provide seamless integration with Virya’s systems, offering enhanced adaptability across various mobility applications.
