Michelin is committed to diversity and inclusion, creating a workplace where everyone feels valued. Through leaders like Forgiveness Mathebula and Bianca Greef, Michelin is breaking barriers and showing real progress for women in traditionally male-dominated fields.
Breaking barriers in mining
Forgiveness Mathebula, Senior Account Manager in mining at Michelin, understands the unique challenges women face on-site. “Working on site has given me a deep understanding of the difficulties women face, from workplace culture to practical considerations like safety gear designed for men,” she said.
Forgiveness emphasises the need for clear diversity goals, mentorship, and equal leadership opportunities. Though challenges remain, more women are stepping into leadership roles, showing positive change.

Redefining leadership in sales
Bianca Greef is Michelin Sub-Saharan Africa’s first female B2C Sales Director. Starting eight years ago as the only woman on her sales team, she saw the chance to open doors for other women. “Women bring a fresh perspective to leadership, one that is understanding, adaptable, and centred around people,” Bianca explains.
She also challenges the idea that women must choose between career and family, advocating for supportive workplaces where women can balance both.
Michelin drives inclusive growth
Michelin supports its women leaders by creating real opportunities for growth and success. The company’s commitment to inclusion is helping pave the way for more women like Forgiveness and Bianca to rise and lead. Their success stories prove that change is happening and that diversity strengthens the automotive and mining industries.
