Viraj Profiles Ltd has marked a significant milestone by inaugurating its advanced Piercer Mill at the new Seamless Pipe Plant on October 21, 2024. This expansion enables the company to enter the high-value seamless pipe segment, bolstering its position in the global stainless steel market.
Production has commenced with the piercing of bright round bars to create hot-finished mother hollows, utilising the company’s in-house stainless steel melting and bright bar manufacturing facilities. The seamless stainless steel pipes produced will serve critical applications requiring high strength and pressure resistance, such as oil and gas pipelines, boilers, pressure vessels, and aerospace components.
Equipped with cutting-edge technology, the facility ensures rigorous quality control through various testing methods, including hydro testing, ultrasonic testing, and chemical composition analysis.
The inauguration featured a prayer ceremony, followed by the successful rollout of the first products. The expansion into seamless pipe manufacturing reflects Viraj Profiles’ commitment to innovation and excellence.
The new Pipe Division will progress in phases, starting with the Piercer Mill. This move underscores Viraj Profiles’ dedication to product diversification and sustainable growth.
