Varroc names Dr Karl-Heinz Glander Head of R&D for Business II

Dr Glander, with a PhD in Physics, has 20+ years of expertise in advanced automotive technology.

Varroc has appointed Dr Karl-Heinz Glander as the Head of Research and Development for Business II. Based in Germany, Dr Glander will spearhead Varroc Business II’s R&D activities, reporting directly to CEO Dhruv Jain. 

His role involves advancing key technologies such as Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), Driver Monitoring Systems (DMS), cockpit electronics, and video telematics, all aimed at enhancing Varroc’s competitive edge in the automotive market.

Dr Glander brings over 20 years of experience in the automotive sector, holding a PhD in Physics from the University of Bonn, Germany. His expertise spans advanced technology, product innovation, and mass production development. 

He is also an intacs™-certified Provisional Assessor for Automotive SPICE® and has deep knowledge of process-oriented development, including agile and classic project management, ASPICE, ISO 26262 (Functional Safety for Automotive), and ISO/SAE 21434 (Cybersecurity).

Commenting on his appointment, Dr Glander expressed his excitement about joining Varroc, noting the company’s ambitious plans in active and integrated safety markets. Before Varroc, he held key roles at Aptiv, ZF Automotive/TRW, and Siemens VDO/Continental.
