UST recognised again at 2024 Business Culture Awards for excellence

With 25,000+ volunteer hours, UST sets benchmarks for innovation, sustainability, and core value dedication.

UST has been recognised at the 2024 Business Culture Awards (BCA), winning the ‘Best CSR/Corporate Sustainability Initiative’ category and receiving a ‘highly commended’ mention in the ‘Best Large Organisation for Business Culture’ category. This marks the fifth consecutive year the company has been honoured by the BCA, strengthening its commitment to corporate social responsibility (CSR) and building a strong organisational culture.

In previous years, UST has earned numerous accolades, including recognition for Best CSR and Business Culture in 2023, Best Large Organisation for Business Culture in 2022, and the Business Culture Team Award in 2021. The company was also named a finalist in multiple other categories this year.

UST’s achievements are a reflection of its dedication to its core values, with over 25,000 volunteer hours logged by employees for CSR initiatives. These efforts align with UST’s mission of “Transforming Lives” and are deeply rooted in the values set by the company’s founding chairman, G.A. Menon.

Sunil Balakrishnan, Chief Values Officer at UST, expressed his gratitude for the recognition and highlighted the company’s focus on maintaining and growing its values and culture. Judges noted that UST’s strong values-driven decision-making and high employee engagement have made the company stand out in the competitive field. This recognition underscores UST’s continued success in blending business excellence with social impact, setting a high standard for both innovation and sustainability in the corporate world.
