Technotrans launches innovative twin concept cooling device for labs

With its advanced design and flexibility, Technotrans solidifies its leadership in compact cooling solutions.

Technotrans is transforming laboratory cooling with its groundbreaking modular cooling device, set for serial production in October 2024. This unique system features a master-slave concept that allows users to enhance cooling capacity from 1,700 watts to 3,400 watts by adding extension modules.

Utilising R290 (propane) as a refrigerant, each module contains less than 100 grams, exempting them from air transport restrictions and facilitating easy logistics and setup.

Jan Kröger, Head of Division Healthcare & Analytics at technotrans, mentioned that air-transportable propane laboratory coolers with over 3 kilowatts of capacity are a world first. The environmentally friendly refrigerant adheres to upcoming regulations in Europe and the USA, ensuring its viability even with future bans on chemical refrigerants due to its low Global Warming Potential (GWP) of 3.

The system’s plug-and-play design allows for quick installation, requiring only two hoses and a supply plug. The new technotrans ZKS-5 cooling point controller manages operations with a control accuracy of 0.1 Kelvin, enhancing efficiency and usability.

Mounted on wheels for flexibility, this innovative cooler stregthen Technotrans’s position as a leader in compact laboratory cooling solutions.
