Tata Motors has secured its third major bus chassis order from Uttar Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (UPSRTC) this year. The latest order includes 1,297 units of the LPO 1618 bus chassis, bringing the total to over 3,500 units in 2024. This continued success reflects Tata Motors’ ability to provide reliable and cost-effective transportation solutions to state-run transport organisations.

Designed for long-distance travel

The LPO 1618 diesel bus chassis is specifically designed for intercity and long-distance travel. It offers superior performance, enhanced passenger comfort, and a low total cost of ownership. Tata Motors secured the order through a competitive e-bidding process, with deliveries set to occur in phases as agreed with UPSRTC.

Tata Motors has established a solid partnership with UPSRTC, having previously fulfilled orders of 1,350 units in December 2023 and 1,000 units in October 2024. Anand S, Vice President and Head of Commercial Passenger Vehicle Business at Tata Motors, expressed gratitude to UPSRTC for their ongoing trust. He has highlighted the company’s commitment to consistently delivering high-quality mobility solutions.
