Tata Elxsi and Emerson open TENMIC in Bengaluru to accelerate automotive innovation

This centre aims at fast tracking automobile advancement with the use of modern technologies.

The Tata Elxsi + NI Mobility Innovation Centre (TENMIC) in Bengaluru has been officially opened by two prominent  companies: Tata Elxsi which delivers design and technological support internationally and Emerson that is an international firm in the automation industry.

This centre aims at fast tracking automobile advancement with the use of modern technologies, software as well as international knowledge.

The launching ceremony was witnessed by the senior management of both companies and technology and R&D executives from the international OEMs, automotive suppliers, and semiconductor businesses.

By combining the Test & Measurement technologies from the Emerson division with Tata Elxsi’s automotive design, data analytics, and digitalization competencies, TENMIC is created. The goal of this association is to come up with fully automatic solutions for innovations in SDVs, self-driving systems, EV powertrain, and batteries.

Automotive arena in India is gradually transforming into a powerhouse for new generation manufacturing with Bengaluru being the home for many automotive Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs), suppliers and technology companies’ Research and Development centres.

In view of the changes regarding electrification and integration of vehicles, new requirements for software development and testing have arisen. In this vibrant environment, Tata Elxsi and Emerson hope to use their combined worldwide knowledge to generate enormous value for their clients.

Vice President Shaju S. of Tata Elxsi, who also serves as Head of the Transportation Business Unit, emphasised that the alliance aims to accelerate design, development, and innovation by utilising global experience to provide value for clients.

The collaboration has the potential to facilitate quick improvements in automotive technologies and validation, which will develop the sector, according to Shitendra Bhattacharya, Director of Emerson’s Test and Measurement Business in India & ASEAN.
