Sterling and Wilson Renewable Energy Ltd (SWREL) has announced a significant new order valued at approximately Rs 550 crore for the Engineering, Design, Testing, and Commissioning of a 400 MW AC / 633 MW DC photovoltaic (PV) plant in Rajasthan, India. As part of this deal, a 33/220 kV switchyard will be built and supplied for the project.

Amit Jain, Global CEO of Sterling and Wilson Renewable Energy Group, expressed enthusiasm about securing another major domestic order from a prominent private renewable independent power producer (IPP) in India. Jain highlighted the rapid growth of the Indian market and the company’s readiness to leverage its position as a leading EPC player.

With this new order, SWREL has now earned about Rs 900 crore in domestic orders for the second quarter of FY25. This is on top of the ~Rs2,170 crore it received in the first quarter. Jain is still hopeful about keeping this trend going, pointing to a strong pipeline of domestic bids.
