Sintex, a part of the Welspun Group, is poised to establish a manufacturing facility in Telangana with an investment of Rs 350 crore, creating 1,000 job opportunities.
The foundation stone for this forthcoming plant, located in Chandanvelly within the Rangareddy district, will be laid by Telangana Industries Minister K.T. Rama Rao and Welspun Group Chairman B.K. Goenka on September 28. As detailed in an official statement, the plant’s production focus will encompass tanks, pipes, automotive components, and associated accessories.
Rama Rao lauded the state’s ‘progressive’ policies and ‘world-class’ infrastructure, which have prompted companies like Sintex to expand their presence in Telangana. He also assured full support from the State Government to facilitate the expansion of existing businesses within the region.
B.K. Goenka, Chairman of the Welspun Group, expressed satisfaction with the company’s ongoing operations in the state. The investment-friendly policies of the Telangana Government have motivated them to extend their operations within the area further.
