Servotech Power Systems Ltd. has signed an impressive major order for setting up 12 EV charging stations with the Agency for New and Renewable Energy Research and Technology (ANERT), Department of Power, Govt. of Kerala. According to this agreement, Servotech has to establish 12 EV charging stations alongside 30KW Fast DC EV Chargers at different offices of Kerala Motor Vehicle Department.
This pilot project whose implementation has started shall be implemented in two phases with phase one including the establishment of four EV charging stations while the second phase of the implementation shall include the establishment of eight EV charging stations. This will be a great help in paving the way towards the sustainable transportation solutions in kerala by enhancing the number of EV charging stations in the state.
With an increasing trend towards the use of EV mobility, there is a need to ensure that adequate and appropriate charging points for electric vehicles are available. These charging will allow EV owners to charge their vehicles on the go and in the process save a lot of time.
Sarika Bhatia, Director of Servotech Power Systems Ltd. said that they are elated to be working on this pilot project for ANERT. This initiative will prove to be essential for facilitating infrastructure development to support the expanding EV customer base and enable its strategic expansion in EV charging infrastructure at places with high charging demand.
