Servotech Power Systems collaborates with IIT Roorkee for EV charger innovation

Servotech Power Systems Ltd. (SPSL), a prominent EV charger manufacturer in India, has signed two MOUs with IIT Roorkee. The agreements aim to develop advanced rectifier units for CCS2 chargers and onboard EV chargers for 2, 3, and 4 wheelers, bolstering domestic manufacturing capabilities and fostering the growth of the domestic EV industry.

Raman Bhatia, Managing Director, Servotech Power Systems, emphasised the company’s focus on the Indian electric vehicle market. With the aim of promoting indigenous manufacturing, the collaboration with IIT Roorkee strengthens their commitment to the ‘Make in India’ initiative, solidifying Servotech’s position as a global leader in the EV industry.

Prof. Mukesh Pathak, Principal Investigator in the Department of Electrical Engineering, IIT Roorkee, highlighted the institute’s dedication to pioneering indigenous solutions for the Indian EV industry. The collaboration is expected to play a crucial role in accelerating the adoption of electric vehicles and revolutionising transportation and energy consumption in India.
