Magna launches electronics manufacturing plant in Michigan

The facility will also act as the advanced robotics R&D testing lab

Magna, the mobility technology company has opened an electronics manufacturing facility in Michigan.

The company says this new state-of-the-art facility combines 21st-century manufacturing with people-first workplace design and functionality.

Spread over 230,000 sq-ft area, this facility has been built with an investment of around $50 million and with this, Magna targets to accelerate large-scale deployment of future automotive technologies including Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS), advanced robotics and micro-LED lighting.

The company manufactures ADAS using a wide array of sensors and radars. Magna has also informed in the release that this new plant will be the company's advanced robotics R&D testing lab. The facility will also house the Magna Rohinni Automotive, a joint venture formed in 2018 that makes ultra-thin, flexible micro-LED lighting solutions.
