Sany India has introduced the SKT105E Electric Dump Truck, marking a groundbreaking achievement in the nation’s mining sector. Industry leaders and dignitaries attended the unveiling ceremony, which showcased the first locally manufactured electric dump truck in India. This fully electric off-highway truck, with a payload capacity of 70 tonnes, promises exceptional energy efficiency and cost-effectiveness for open-cast mining operations.
Deepak Garg, Vice Chairman and Managing Director of Sany India & South Asia, highlighted the significance of the SKT105E in promoting sustainable mining practices and contributing to India’s vision of sustainable development. The truck’s innovative design and zero-emission operation align with India’s commitment to combat climate change.
