Runaya and Eckart partner to establish sustainable aluminium powder facility in India

This move strengthens Runaya and Eckart’s positions in the aluminium sector and supports the circular economy.

Runaya and Eckart have recently joined forces to establish a new aluminium powder facility in Odisha, India. This strategic partnership aims to produce spherical atomised aluminium granules with a low carbon footprint, catering to growing global demand in industries like aerospace, solar panels, and high-value pigments.

Promoting sustainability with recycled aluminium

The joint venture will use recycled aluminium and renewable energy sources to power its production processes, aligning with both companies’ commitment to sustainability. This new facility will serve both Indian and global markets, with India strengthening its position as a hub for low-cost, cutting-edge manufacturing solutions.

Moreover, Runaya and Eckart have signed a Memorandum of Understanding to manufacture high-quality aluminium pigments. This collaboration marks a significant step in the aluminium recycling industry, setting new global benchmarks for sustainable manufacturing.

Dr Christian Przybyla, President of ECKART, has stressed the importance of the partnership, stating, “By pooling our expertise in India, we aim to drive innovation and create long-term value.”
