RSB Group celebrates its 50th anniversary and aims for 3X growth in the next 3-4 years. Founded in 1974 by R.K. Behera and S.K. Behera with an initial investment of Rs 2 lakh, RSB has grown into a Rs 3,000 crore industry giant. The company now employs over 6,000 people and operates 17 manufacturing facilities in India, two international plants, and a tech subsidiary in Pune. RSB serves major clients like Tata Motors, Mahindra, John Deere, and Ford.
As part of its expansion strategy, RSB plans to exceed Rs 10,000 crore in revenue before going public, backed by a strategic partnership with Bain Capital. This partnership will help fuel both organic and inorganic growth, particularly in international markets like Mexico. RSB is also focusing on the electric vehicle (EV) market, with plans to develop e-axles, motors, and controllers in collaboration with an Israeli firm.
The company aims to generate 75 per cent of its revenue from traditional automotive components and 25 per cent from EVs within the next five years. RSB is also exploring new sectors like defence, railways, and telecommunications. As it looks to the future, RSB is committed to sustainability, integrity, and quality, setting new industry standards.
