Pricol drives innovation with new E-Cockpit prototypes for automakers

These e-cockpits promise enhanced driver usability, safety, and comfort.

Pricol Ltd is making progress in e-cockpit development, introducing prototype proof-of-concept e-cockpits to manufacturers of automotive and commercial vehicles. This development occurs amid a rapidly evolving automotive landscape where digitalisation and connected car technologies are becoming increasingly important.

The e-cockpit offers flexibility, ease of use for drivers, and enhances safety and comfort. Siddharth Manoharan, Director of Strategy at Pricol, announced on the post-earnings call that the company is in talks with passenger and commercial vehicle manufacturers about adopting these models.

Pricol partnered with Chinese company TYW to vertically integrate the screen and other components. Manoharan stressed that although negotiations with OEMs are ongoing, the adoption of the e-cockpit will take time due to its sophistication.

Additionally, Pricol is working on connected car solutions in partnership with Cibros, receiving positive feedback from domestic and international customers. The company continues to test these solutions with international two-wheeler OEMs.

Pricol serves leading automotive OEMs in various segments and operates eight manufacturing plants in India, one in Indonesia and plants in Tokyo, Singapore and Dubai.
