Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) acquires PTC India Ltd’s wind power unit for Rs 925 crore to expand its renewable energy portfolio. ONGC aims to achieve zero carbon emissions by 2038 with an investment of about Rs 2 lakh crore.
The company currently operates at 189 MW and plans to scale up to 10 GW by 2030. It also eyes the establishment of 25 compressed biogas plants and a 1 million tonne per annum green ammonia plant. Oil production is expected to rise to 21.265 MT, and natural gas output is projected to increase to 23.708 bcm in 2025-26.
