NMDC Steel sets new production records, showcases modern manufacturing excellence

NMDC Steel Limited (NSL) has set new records in production and operational efficiency. The plant achieved its design output mark for the third occasion this month, which demonstrates an expanding trajectory. NSL shows strong leadership potential in modern steel production through its successful performance of exceeding expectations regularly.

NSL has set a new record for daily basemix production at its Raw Material Handling System (RMHS), with a total of 23,307 tonnes. The coke oven successfully performed 186 pushings while producing 11034 tonnes of hot metal along with the blast furnace.

The Steel Melting Shop reached its highest production milestone of 9,342 tonnes in liquid steel output. Through its integration with the Top Recovery Turbine (TRT) at the Power and Blowing Station (PBS), NSL demonstrated its energy optimisation focus by producing more than 15 MW of power. The Sinter Plant produced 12,886 tonnes of sinter, while the Thin Slab Caster produced 8,850 tonnes of crude steel, and the Hot Strip Mill delivered 8,673 tonnes of HR coils.
