Nasscom has appointed Sindhu Gangadharan, Managing Director of SAP Labs India, as its new chairperson. She takes over for Rajesh Nambiar, who has been named Nasscom’s president-designate.
Gangadharan previously served as Chair of the Nasscom GCC Council. She is the first woman to lead SAP Labs India. Moreover, she is also a board member at Siemens India and Titan Company and sits on the Steering Committee of the Indo-German Chamber of Commerce.
Gangadharan expressed her enthusiasm about India’s potential for digital transformation, highlighting the country’s strong R&D capabilities and extensive digital talent pool.
When Debjani Ghosh’s term ends in November 2024, Nambiar will take over as Nasscom President. Ghosh recently quit her job as India MD and Chairman at Cognizant.
Nambiar looks forward to collaborating with Gangadharan to drive the tech industry to new heights amid evolving technologies and disruptive innovations.
