Maserati names Maurizio Zuares as new Global Chief Commercial Officer

This leadership change underscores Maserati’s commitment to strengthening its team and driving future growth.

Maserati has appointed Maurizio Zuares as its new Global Chief Commercial Officer, effective January 1, 2025. With over two decades of leadership experience in the automotive industry, Zuares will drive Maserati’s global expansion and brand positioning, succeeding Luca Delfino, who is stepping down for new opportunities.

A leader with global expertise

Maurizio Zuares brings an extensive international background in automotive sales and marketing to Maserati. His career began at Ford in Italy, and he later moved on to Fiat Group, holding several key leadership roles in various global markets. Zuares served as President of Fiat Auto Japan, Managing Director for Spain, and CEO of FCA France. Most recently, he was CEO of Leapmotor International and led operations in Spain and Portugal.

Maserati’s CEO, Santo Ficili, praised Zuares’ global perspective and experience, highlighting the important role he will play in boosting Maserati’s presence worldwide. Zuares, in turn, expressed excitement about leading Maserati’s commercial strategy and advancing the brand’s reputation in the luxury automotive market.

This leadership change represents a key step for Maserati as it continues to build a strong, experienced team to drive its global growth and align with its long-term strategic goals.
