LAPP India has recently appointed Sumit Mitra as its new Managing Director. With over three decades of experience in the industrial sector, Sumit is set to drive LAPP India’s growth and expand its market presence. Based in Bangalore, he will report to the CEO of LAPP Asia Pacific.
Sumit brings great expertise from his previous roles, including a successful tenure at SKF Group, where he was recognised for boosting operational efficiency and market growth in both Indian and multinational organisations. His strategic insight and focus on talent development make him an asset to LAPP India’s leadership team.
Richard Lee, CEO of LAPP Asia Pacific, expressed enthusiasm for Sumit’s appointment, highlighting India as LAPP’s largest market outside Germany. Sumit’s vision and experience are expected to fuel expansion and help the company deliver innovative solutions to meet India’s dynamic market needs.
In his new role, Sumit aims to transform LAPP India into a market leader, enhancing product offerings, driving operational excellence, and introducing industry-first technologies. Sumit holds an MBA from IIM-Calcutta and a degree in Electronics and Telecommunications Engineering from Pune University.
