Kia India has surpassed 250,000 vehicle exports. The company has shipped a total of 255,133 units to over 100 markets since 2019. The Seltos has accounted for 59 per cent of the exports making it the major contributor while Sonet and Carens follow in second and third places, contributing 34 per cent and 7 per cent, respectively.
In recent years, the company has been selling most of its cars in local markets. The company is going to make about 90 per cent of car products for India this year.
Additionally, the company exports to the international market such as South Africa, Chile, Paraguay and Latin America from its Anantapur facility.
According to Myung-sik Sohn, Chief Sales Officer, Kia India said, The success of the company’s Made in India vehicles internationally shows their commitment to quality. He further stated that even though their main focus is in domestic markets, they are also aiming to keep their exports firm this year.
Kia’s Anantapur plant, is an important facility within the company’s global network since commencing production five years ago. The facility is highly advanced and adheres to high quality standards therefore positioning the company at the forefront of meeting clients needs.
