John Cockerill India Limited and Jindal (India) Limited have inked a supply deal for Jindal’s innovative Color Coating Line (CCL). The advanced colour coating line is going to be set up in Jindal (India) Limited’s Ranihati Works as part of this relationship.
Jindal (India) Limited would be able to manufacture premium coated steel thanks to the sophisticated CCL. With this project, the business enhances its dominance in the local high-end steel market and declares its intent to expand on the portfolio steel products for appliance and construction industries.
The entire colour coating line, which includes two pay-off reels, a stitcher machine, a multi-stage cleaning section, a vertical entry accumulator, a tension leveller, chemical coating, drying, and paint coaters with curing ovens with RTO, an exit accumulator, an inspection station, a cold laminator, and two tension reels, will be delivered by John Cockerill India Limited as part of the contract.
The CCL can handle steel strips of a variety of thicknesses and widths owing to the use of the most recent technology. With high-speed continuous processing capabilities, it will be able to produce a wide range of coated goods using polyester, RMP, SMP, epoxy, PVC, PU, PVDF, and Teflon paint coating.
Working with a reliable, long-term partner in their quest for superior steel production strengthens their dedication to providing excellence, especially in high-end industries like automotive and white goods, according to Francois David Martino, President, John Cockerill Industry and Chairman of the Board of Directors at John Cockerill India Limited. By the end of 2025, the new Colour Coating Line should be up and running.
