The facility leverages German tech for better energy efficiency and cost-effectiveness.

JK Cement has recently reported that it has inaugurated a new grinding unit at its Prayagraj Plant in Uttar Pradesh, boosting its production capacity. This expansion, completed in less than 10 months, raises JK Cement’s total capacity from 22 MTPA to 24 MTPA, enhancing its position in the cement market.

The new 2 MTPA Clinker Grinding unit incorporates advanced German technology to improve energy efficiency and save operating costs.

The factory is ideally located in Eastern Uttar Pradesh and intends to efficiently supply the region’s rising cement demand, which is being driven by large infrastructure development projects.

The CEO of JK Cement Ltd, Dr Raghavpat Singhania, noted the importance of achieving such a capacity for the company’s further development, focusing on such values as quality, innovation, and contribution to the development of the region. The expansion correlates with India’s infrastructure growth plan to enable JK Cement to prepare for any national development projects.

Deputy Managing Director and CEO of JK Cement, Madhvarishna Singhania highlighted the need for the new unit for JK Cement to strengthen its market hold and contribute to the economy through employment. The project shows the company’s commitment to operational effectiveness, sustainability, and fulfilling the market’s needs with innovative solutions.

JK Cement also has other plants at Aligarh and Hamipur which are expanding their capacity and providing more economic benefits to Uttar Pradesh.
