The 4400-ton die-casting machine is a game-changer in manufacturing, setting new benchmarks for producing complex aluminum structural components.

Jaya Hind Industries Pvt. Ltd., part of the Dr. Abhay Firodia Group, has made a significant advancement in manufacturing by installing India’s largest 4400-ton high-pressure die-casting machine at its Urse facility near Pune. The machine, sourced from Buhler-Switzerland, sets new standards for producing complex aluminium structural components, aligning with the growing demands of the automotive and EV sectors.

The 4400-ton machine enables Jaya Hind to produce a range of critical structural parts, including cradles, shock towers, housings, and advanced components for electric vehicles and commercial vehicles. This development enhances India’s capabilities in meeting the global demand for lightweight, high-strength aluminium components.

Prasan Firodia, Managing Director of Jaya Hind Industries, expressed his excitement, stating, “This milestone underscores our dedication to innovation and our commitment to meeting the increasing demand for large, complex parts in the EV and automotive sectors. It’s a moment of pride for us and the Indian die-casting industry.”

With this installation, Jaya Hind strengthens its ability to serve domestic and international OEMs, paving the way for advanced aluminium manufacturing. The company’s expanded capacity not only supports India’s evolving EV landscape but also positions the country as a leader in die-casting technology.

Founded in 1947, Jaya Hind Industries has been a pioneer in aluminium die-casting since 1964. The company operates facilities in Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, Madhya Pradesh, and Germany, serving clients like BMW, Volkswagen, Cummins, Ford, and Tata Motors. It also holds a licensing agreement with KS-Huayu, Germany, for cylinder blocks and structural components.
