iMerit has recently opened its 12th global centre which is the Automotive AI Center of Excellence, in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu. With India’s automotive AI market projected to surpass $1 billion in five years, this move underscores iMerit’s commitment to innovation and talent development in the region.
Inaugurated by Tamil Nadu’s IT Minister Dr Palanivel Thiagarajan, the centre has already onboarded 220 experts specialising in multisensor fusion and plans to double its workforce by 2025. Leveraging its proprietary Ango Hub software, iMerit supports global advancements in autonomous mobility, healthcare, and generative AI.
