Gruner Renewable to set up Asia’s largest CBG plant in Gujarat

This Gruner’s initiative addresses the nation’s energy shortage, creates jobs, and benefits local communities.

Gruner Renewable Energy announced plans to build a CBG plant to process 1 million tonnes a year, making it the largest in Asia, located in Gujarat and requires an investment of Rs 220 crores.

Partnership with a major conglomerate is expected to develop more than 16,000 tonnes of biogas in a year. This location of the plant in Navsari presents India’s renewable energy plans from the right perspective. Gujarat finds itself in a growing interest in green energy that is in concordance with national trends.

Primarily, the CBG plant plays an exceptionally significant role in the Indian rural economy, where employment is created and locals benefit. On feedstock selection and plant location strategy, Gruner embraces the sustainable provision of biogas with consideration of various environmental aspects.

Utkarsh Gupta, Founder & CEO of Gruner Renewable Energy, has highlighted the company’s mission to combat climate change and foster economic growth through sustainable energy solutions. Since its inception in 2023, Gruner has been dedicated to reducing climate risks by converting waste into biogas and promoting environmental sustainability.

As India moves towards reducing dependence on fossil fuels, plants like Navsari will be pivotal in advancing sustainable energy solutions. Gupta also highlighted that establishing CBG plants will create jobs in the biofuel sector and reduce India’s crude oil imports significantly.

With new technologies and by focusing on sustainability, Gruner takes the initiative in efficient biogas production. Formed in the same year, the company is fairly young, yet impactful, providing clients with easy-to-use and low-cost biogas services while promoting the company’s agenda of environmental responsibility.
