A collaborative agreement has been reached between Gujarat Alkalies and Chemicals Ltd (GACL) and Vedanta Aluminium to explore possible possibilities, specifically in the caustic-chlorine industry and related businesses. A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) outlines the initial agreement, which is focused on investigating various business opportunities, particularly in the caustic-chlorine industry and other related sectors. By signing the MoU, the organisations pledge to identify opportunities for value addition through cooperative efforts.
GACL is a Gujarat-based company that runs manufacturing facilities across four complexes, two in Vadodara and two in Dahej. Its strong production capacity is 8,52,400 tonnes annually.
GACL stated in a regulatory filing that the goal is to create synergy through collaboratively pursuing shared business interests. The business division of Vedanta Ltd., Vedanta Aluminium, is a major participant in this tactical partnership.
According to the terms of the Memorandum of Understanding, both businesses declare their intent to explore further possible areas of collaboration. The agreement embodies the companies’ fundamental pledge to collaboratively evaluate commercial prospects, whether via joint venture initiatives or formal agreements.
