EKA Mobility appoints Sohel Merchant to lead innovation in electric vehicle sector

EKA Mobility has appointed Sohel Merchant as its Chief Innovation Officer (CIO). With more than 20 years of experience in automotive engineering, including leadership roles at Tesla, Canoo, and Faraday Future, Merchant’s appointment comes at a pivotal moment for EKA as it seeks to advance its sustainable transportation solutions.

Merchant’s extensive background in vehicle engineering and program management includes co-founding Canoo and serving as Chief Technology Officer. His contributions to the development of electric platforms and vehicles for commercial use, including projects for the US Department of Defense and NASA, are highly regarded. At Tesla, he played a key role in the development of the Model S and Model X.
