Dixon Technologies has announced the incorporation of a wholly-owned subsidiary named Dixon Teletech, aimed at producing components for IT hardware products. The electronics hardware manufacturer is expanding its operations to enhance laptop assembly capabilities under the government’s production-linked incentive scheme for IT hardware. This initiative is supported by orders from the country’s leading laptop brands, including HP, Lenovo, Acer, and Asus.
According to an exchange filing by the company, Dixon Teletech will focus on the manufacturing and distribution of various Information Technology products, encompassing a wide range of IT hardware components and related equipment. This move reflects Dixon Technologies’ strategic effort to strengthen its position in the IT hardware sector and meet the growing demand for laptops in the Indian market.
Moreover, by establishing this subsidiary, Dixon aims to optimise its manufacturing processes and contribute to the country’s electronics manufacturing landscape.
