Continental India has partnered with Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Coimbatore, and MathWorks India to introduce the “Automotive Systems and Layered Architecture” course.
Aimed at bridging the gap between academia and industry, the course focuses on equipping students with practical skills in Automotive Open Source Architecture (AUTOSAR) and automotive industry standards.
This collaboration was established under a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed in 2022 which focuses on curriculum development, research initiatives, and internships.
Latha Chembrakalam, Head of Continental’s Technical Center India (TCI), expressed that the partnership is crucial in fostering a well-prepared talent pool ready to meet future industry challenges. The course combines lectures, workshops, and case studies to provide a comprehensive understanding of AUTOSAR.
Amrita University faculty, MathWorks India, and Continental experts will guide students through a phased learning process, integrating model-based design, simulation, and testing.
Sunil Motwani, Country Manager of MathWorks India, highlighted the course’s potential to align students’ skills with automotive software development standards. This initiative is part of Continental India’s broader efforts to strengthen R&D and talent development in the automotive sector.
