BSA’s Gold Star 650 arrives in India

BSA has made a remarkable return to the market with the launch of its Gold Star 650 in India. The Gold Star sells for Rs 2.99 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi) and is a blend of classic style and modern engineering.

The 652cc liquid-cooled engine in this new model gives it an impressive 55 Nm of torque, making it the biggest single-cylinder motorbike in its class. It comes with high-end parts like Brembo brakes, dual-channel ABS, Excel wheels, and Pirelli tyres.

BSA announced its move into India on the 78th Independence Day, with a promise to set up a large network of dealerships and repair centres all over the country.

The Gold Star 650 came back in the UK in 2021 and has already been praised in Turkey, the Philippines, Europe, and New Zealand. BSA intends to expand even further into Japan, Australia, and the US.

The Chairman of the Mahindra Group, Anand Mahindra, highlighted the brand’s long history and expressed excitement about bringing it to India. The Gold Star combines traditional British style with cutting-edge technology. It has modern features like a USB charging port and a 12V plug. Prices will range from Rs 2.99 lakh to Rs 3.34 lakh (ex-showroom) and it will come in different colours starting August 15, 2024.
