Avaada Group has established a new manufacturing plant costing Rs 13,650 crore at Nagpur’s Addl. Butibori Industrial Park. More than 5,000 employment will be created by the project that is directed to enhance renewable energy producing capacity of India and critical for realising carbon emissions cut by 50 per cent in 2030.
Maharashtra’s Deputy Chief Minister, Devendra Fadnavis, inaugurated the new facility that will focus on the solar value chain from ingot-wafer, PV cells and modules. It will also develop next generation electrolysers and batteries.
Avaada intends to create 1,000 additional employment by setting up auxiliary plants for parts like aluminium frames and module glass. The firm wants at least 60 per cent of its employees to be women, and it has partnered with national and local ITIs to train people for the job.
Vineet Mittal, the Chairman of the Avaada Group, highlighted the project in terms of how it fits into the India narrative of developing clean energy sources and noted that it was indeed the next major step for Avaada when it comes to improving the cause.
The building will provide world-class services for staff, including transportation, medical rooms, and a crèche. Avaada seeks to advance India’s ability to produce renewable energy while fostering economic growth.
