Altair and the Centre of Excellence in Advanced Automotive Research (CAAR) signed an MoU to foster collaboration and innovation in the automotive sector. The partnership will explore the future of electric vehicles, self-driving cars and other green automobiles, help shorten industry timetables and put India at the forefront of car innovation.
The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Madras, played a consultant and supportive role to set up the CAAR. CAAR promotes human capital growth, provides policy recommendations and best-in-class facilities and technologies for automakers. Through the concept of translational research CAAR links the theoretical concepts developed at the academia and their practical application in industries.
