Aitiip Technology Center has upgraded its post-processing operations with the S1 shot-blasting machine from AM Solutions. This automation has dramatically increased production capacity, improved surface quality, and reduced costs, allowing Aitiip to meet growing demands more effectively.
Automating manual processes to save time and costs
Aitiip, located in Spain, is renowned for its innovative 3D printing solutions, including prototyping and custom-engineered parts. However, as production volumes increased, the company faced challenges with its manual post-processing operations, which were both time-consuming and costly.
Pablo Murillo, Chief Development Officer at Aitiip, explained, “Before we installed the S1, all post-processing was manual, which led to high labour costs and limited flexibility. With the S1 system, we’ve significantly increased our production capacity.”
Transforming post-processing with the S1 machine
The S1 shot-blasting machine has transformed Aitiip’s post-processing tasks. It combines cleaning and surface finishing in one step, providing consistent results. This two-in-one system processes 3D-printed parts quickly and efficiently, offering up to 90% time savings.
“What used to take hours is now completed in just 30 minutes,” Murillo noted. The S1’s precise handling ensures that parts meet customer specifications without additional processing, expanding Aitiip’s ability to offer high-quality 3D-printed components for various industries.

In addition to its efficiency, the S1 machine can be operated in both automatic and manual modes, giving Aitiip flexibility with different blast media. Murillo praised the expertise and support provided by AM Solutions, saying, “We appreciate the in-depth knowledge in surface refinement and have decided to plan further projects with the same supplier.”
